Spencer Travel’s Experience at
Virtuoso Travel Week 2023
In a recent educational trip that perfectly aligns with Spencer Travel’s commitment to crafting exceptional travel experiences, three of our fabulous consultants – Louise, Carissa, and Belinda – embarked on an exciting journey to the renowned Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas. This exclusive event drew more than 5,000 attendees from an impressive 105 countries and 2,086 companies, turning the vibrant city into a bustling hub of networking and learning.
The heart of this prestigious event was the incredible connections made with the crème de la crème of Virtuoso Partners. Our team orchestrated an impressive total of 295 meetings, digging deep for insights and updates that will enrich our offerings for our cherished clients.
Beyond the impressive statistics, there’s a palpable energy – 185,000 appointments that affirm Virtuoso Travel Week’s role as a global melting pot for industry movers and shakers to share insights, spark innovation, and build meaningful connections.
Yet, beyond the numbers, lies the real magic. We’re now armed with fresh inspiration and a treasure trove of property updates, allowing us to design even more personalised, extraordinary itineraries that cater to your unique desires and preferences.
During the event, Louise engaged in pivotal discussions with key cruise partners and the Virtuoso team, unearthing exciting future technology collaborations. She also discovered intriguing enhancements to our existing tools, like Umapped, our digital itinerary offering.
Amid the hustle, our team enjoyed daily luncheons hosted by esteemed partners – Hyatt, Peninsula, 1 Hotels, and Four Seasons – creating an atmosphere where mingling with General Managers and Directors of Sales and Marketing felt like second nature.
One delightful discovery came in the form of The Fifth Avenue Hotel (pictured) , poised for a grand debut on October 16th. With 153 splendid accommodations, it’s a proud member of The Leading Hotels of the World. This gem, envisioned by Martin-Brudinski, offers grand entrances, a magnificent ballroom, and a multi-level restaurant overlooking the iconic Fifth Avenue – a true embodiment of old-world charm with modern luxury.
As the week drew to a close, the Gala Dinner in Bellagio’s Grand Ballroom marked a crescendo, announcing significant awards. The night continued with spirited dancing at Club V, a fittingly vibrant conclusion.
Reflecting on the event, Carissa captures its essence perfectly:
