About Spencer Travel

Our Story

Spencer Travel was founded by Penny Spencer in 1998, initially starting as a Corporate Travel Management company and growing into a multi-brand, multi-award-winning boutique travel agency.

Strategic Growth & Expansion

Over the years, Penny identified opportunities to expand the business by adding specialised niche areas. In 2007, she introduced a dedicated family travel brand, Travel with Kidz. The business continued to grow with the opening of Shire Travel in Caringbah in 2011, followed by the acquisition of Travel Creations in Edgecliff in 2012, which was rebranded as Spencer Travel Eastside. A year later, in 2013, Spencer Travel acquired Benchmark Travel in Kogarah, rebranding it as Spencer Travel Southside.

Consolidation & Modernisation

Our businesses and Travel Specialists have established long-lasting relationships with both clients and suppliers, winning numerous awards and achieving substantial growth over the years. In 2020, all offices were strategically relocated to Spencer Travel’s head office in Mascot, Sydney. The following year, in 2021, the business was consolidated under a unified brand: Spencer Travel Leisure.
